I always thought a French press was too much work for a single cup
My friend in Portland told me she uses a small 12 ounce press just for herself every morning. She said the key is to grind the beans right before, use water just off the boil, and wait four minutes. I tried it this week and the flavor is so much richer than my old drip machine. Has anyone else switched to a single serve press and stuck with it?

Yeah, I get what you mean about it feeling like too much work, but it really does become a quick routine. I switched to a small press last year and won't go back. The taste difference is just too big to ignore, like @the_paul's drip machine is probably feeling right now. That four minute wait gives you time to do something else, like get your mug ready. It feels more like a little morning ritual than a chore.
