Dropped my grinder basket on the tile floor at 6am this morning

I was making coffee in my kitchen in Portland and the ceramic basket slipped right out of my hand and shattered into like 15 pieces. Anyone else have a backup plan for when your main brewing setup suddenly explodes?

I broke my V60 carafe last week and used a mason jar for two days.

...and honestly that mason jar probably made better coffee than my fancy Hario stuff does. I did the exact same thing with an old pickle jar once, and it poured like a dream until the third morning when I realized I hadn't cleaned the lid properly and got a faint dill taste in my brew. @mark_price you know what's funny though? I kept using that jar for like a week after I bought a replacement carafe, just because the pouring felt more controlled. The glass is thicker so it holds heat way better too. Ended up cracking the new carafe within a month and went back to the jar for good.
