Tried skipping the recycling bin for a month to see if it mattered
Honestly, I figured missing a few weeks wouldn't make a dent, but after 30 days my trash bin was overflowing with plastic bottles and cardboard. I learned that even one person skipping recycling adds up fast in a small apartment building like mine. Anyone else test how much waste they actually produce when they slack off?

Yeah that pile of cans and bottles gets scary real fast.

Me and my buddy @brooke767 found ourselves in that exact situation last summer after a block party. We started stacking the empties by brand into little towers and seeing who could build the tallest one without it falling over. Ended up with a 12-can Bud Light tower that was honestly more stable than I expected. Also helped us figure out whose turn it was to take the recycling run the next morning.
