Been buying bagged beans for 2 years when the bulk section is half the price

Walked into my local Sprouts last Tuesday to grab another 3 dollar bag of pinto beans from the aisle. Some old guy at the bulk bins was scooping the exact same beans for like 1.40 a pound. I did the math standing there. Two years of overpaying because I never thought to look. Anyone else getting roasted by the bulk aisle prices?

Went through the same thing at Whole Foods. Their bulk black beans were 1.60 a pound vs the 4 dollar bags. Felt stupid for months. Now I buy all rice and lentils that way too. Brings the same mason jars I already had at home. Huge savings add up fast if you go every week.

Makes you realize how much we pay for packaging instead of food.
