Appreciation post: that $4 bag of frozen veggie mix keeps saving my dinners

I used to buy fresh broccoli and bell peppers every week, but half of it would go slimy by Thursday. Picked up a 2 pound bag of frozen stir fry veggies at Aldi for $3.98 last Monday and it's lasted me 5 meals so far. Threw it into some ramen, an egg scramble, and a rice bowl with soy sauce, all under $2 per plate. Anyone else leaning on frozen produce more when the grocery bill gets tight?

Oh man, frozen veggies are a total lifesaver when money gets tight. I started doing the same thing a few months back after throwing out way too many sad, wilted greens. The trick for me was mixing them into things with strong sauces or spices, so you barely notice they came from a bag. That frozen mix you grabbed works perfect for stir fry because it holds up better than fresh sometimes, honestly. Keep it up, those cheap meals add up to real savings by the end of the month.
