Thought the guy talking to himself at the laundromat on 5th was off his rocker, then he fixed my dryer for free
He noticed my machine kept stopping mid cycle, popped the back panel off with a quarter, and showed me the belt was loose, and turns out he repaired appliances in Maplewood for 40 years before he retired.

Man, my grandpa used to talk to his plants and somehow every tomato plant on the block outgrew mine.
