Spilled my latte on a stranger's bag, now we meet for walks every Sunday
So last month, I accidentally bumped into someone at a cafe and spilled my drink (it was pretty embarrassing, honestly). We got talking, and it turns out we live in the same neighborhood. Now we go for walks every weekend, which is nice, but I'm not sure if I should invite them to other things. Has anyone else turned a small mishap into a real friendship? How do you balance it?

Are you sure you're not rushing this? Sometimes those accidental meetings are just meant to be small talk, not a whole new social calendar. Pushing for more might weird them out.

But here's the thing, how can you tell the difference? I mean, some of my BEST friends came from random talks that I followed up on. What if the other person feels the same but is too scared to speak up? Isn't it worth risking a little weirdness to find out? I feel like we overthink these times and miss REAL bonds. So what SIGNS should we really look for to know if it's okay to ask for more?

Seriously @bennett.vera, signs can be wrong and make things weird.
