Saw a thing about how history books pick which sacrifices to highlight. They'll build a huge memorial for one group but barely mention another that suffered just as much. Really shows how memory gets shaped by who's telling the story.

@williamb29, your point about how memory gets shaped really sticks with me. It's crazy how some stories get amplified while others fade away. We gotta make sure we don't forget the faded ones.
