Worst week of my career started with a wet slab last June
Job site in Tampa had a concrete pour that wasn't fully cured, and I didn't check moisture levels before laying glue-down carpet. Ended up tearing out 1,200 square feet two days later because it all bubbled up. Any of you guys carry a moisture meter on every job now?

Flat slab in Tampa in June, that's playing on hard mode for sure with all that humidity. Did you have the concrete report from the supplier before you started, or were you going off the GC's word that it was good to go?

Wet slab" is the nightmare fuel that keeps me checking concrete with a meter even on small jobs. Read a post from a guy in Florida who said a moisture meter paid for itself on his first save.
