Showerthought: I lost a full day's pay on a bad knee kicker
Bought a cheap knee kicker from a discount tool site for about $80, thinking it would be fine for small jobs. The teeth stripped on the second house I used it on, a big living room in Akron. I had to stop, drive to the supplier, and buy a good one, losing the whole afternoon and that first $80. Has anyone found a brand that holds up without costing a fortune?

Half a day? That seems like a stretch.

Used to buy those discount site specials too. A stripped Powerline kicker on a Philly row home job cost me half a day and a customer. I only buy Roberts or Crain now, even for small jobs. The extra hundred bucks up front is nothing compared to a lost day.

Wait, Powerline is actually a Crain brand though. They're the budget line, but it's still their design.
