Rant: My rush job proved carpet acclimation isn't always needed
I had a client who needed carpet laid fast for an event. Many installers swear you must let it sit for hours to match room humidity. I went ahead and put it down straight from the truck. Two months later, there are no bumps or seams coming loose. In my view, we sometimes waste too much time on this step.

Wow, breaking all the rules and getting away with it? Just wait for the first heat wave.

What kind of carpet and pad did you use? I wonder if the material made the difference here.

Are you seriously saying there's zero buckling after two months? That goes against everything I've ever seen, honestly (and I've seen a lot). Skipping acclimation might seem okay at first, but problems usually show up with the first big humidity change. The fact that nothing has shifted yet for you is just wild to me. I've had jobs where we followed all the rules and still got callbacks from seams lifting. Maybe you got insanely lucky with the batch and the weather that day.
