Question about that first 1000-yard roll

I just finished my first job using a full 1000-yard roll of commercial carpet. The weight of it on the truck and the sheer scale of the cuts really hit me. How do you guys handle the logistics for a roll that big, especially on a second-floor install?

Stair climbing with that beast is a two man job, minimum.

Just get a winch.

A winch is great for the truck, but you still need a team for the stairs. We used a three man crew with a shoulder dolly last time.
