My seam roller decided to become a projectile yesterday

I was finishing up a big install in a two-story house in Springfield, the kind with a long hallway. I gave my heavy-duty roller one good, hard push on a seam, and the whole handle snapped clean off at the base. The metal end shot straight up, bounced off the ceiling, and landed perfectly in the homeowner's potted fern across the room. I just stood there for a second, looking at the fern, then at the broken handle in my hand. The homeowner walked in right then and said, 'Is that a new technique?' I had to finish the job using the butt end of my carpet knife like a caveman. Anyone have a brand of roller that can actually take some force without exploding?

It's funny how we all do that, just add random stuff to plants like they're part of the decor lol.
