Had to pick between a miter saw and a track saw for a big trim job
I was doing a full house trim package in a new build in Boise, and the budget only allowed for one new tool. I went with the track saw to handle the long runs of baseboard and casing. It cut down my setup time by a lot, but I missed having the miter saw for quick crown cuts. Anyone have a good way to break down long stock on site without a miter station?

What kind of saw horses are you using on site?

I've got the steel folding ones too, and @chen.adam is right about them being solid on rough ground.

Ever think about how the ground you're on changes what you need? I've seen guys on uneven dirt swear by the heavy steel folding ones, they don't wobble as much. The plastic ones can get sketchy if the site isn't flat.
