Just realized film camera repairs are on the rise again

I've been fixing cameras for years, and lately, more people are bringing in old film models. Just last week, I had three Contax T2 cameras in for light seal replacements. It's odd because digital is so common now, but there's a real interest in analog. I'm curious if others are noticing this trend or if it's just my area. Maybe it's the nostalgia or the unique look film gives. Whatever the reason, it's keeping my hands busy with these classic pieces. What do you all think?

You know, when you talked about fixing three Contax T2 cameras in a week, it really hit me. I used to be sure film was just a hobby for a few old timers, nothing more. But seeing how many people are into it now, like you said, makes me think it's a real comeback. I mean, I remember when digital first took over and everyone tossed their film gear. Now it's like we're full circle, with folks wanting that analog feel you can't fake. It's not just nostalgia, it's about the craft, and that's pretty cool to see.

Honestly, I see it as more of a trend than a true comeback. Most people buying those T2s just want a cool prop for Instagram, not to learn the craft. They shoot a roll or two, get bored with the cost and wait, and move on. The real skilled film users are still a very small group. It feels big online, but that's just the bubble we're in.
