Hit 500 CLA jobs this week, the math scared me

I kept a running tally on a sticky note for like 4 years, mostly out of habit. Then I hit 500 shutter cleanups on Tuesday and added up the total lens dust I found, it was around 47 swabs worth. That number tells me either my local climate is awful or I need to check my own storage habits. Has anyone else tracked a repair count and found a pattern that changed how you work?
