That time a retired cop in Bakersfield told me to fight every parking ticket
I was complaining about a $65 parking ticket I got for my truck being 3 inches over the line near a fire hydrant, and some old guy at the DMV said to contest everything because the city counts on people just paying up. So I took photos of the faded curb paint and wrote a little letter to the courthouse, and 2 months later they actually waived the whole thing. Has anyone else had luck fighting stupid tickets like that in small California towns?
