I finally stopped using those push-on coax connectors after a rough Tuesday
I was working on a job over in Oak Park and three of those push-on connectors failed right after testing. Customer looked at me like I didn't know what I was doing. Has anyone else switched back to compression fittings full time?

The real issue nobody talks about is those cheap push-ons can actually mess up the center conductor on the cable itself. Had a job where I pulled off a push-on that failed and found it had bent the copper wire inside. Had to reterminate the whole connection because the wire was all kinked up. Compression fittings don't do that cause they crimp around the wire straight. Might take an extra 30 seconds per connection but saves you from coming back for a service call later.

Are you sure it's that big of a deal? I've been using push-ons for years and they work fine 99% of the time. Maybe you got a bad batch or something, happens to everyone sometimes. I just make sure to push them on all the way and give them a little twist to seat the pin. Compression fittings are nice and all but they take way longer to install and cost more.
