Hit 50 custom drawer pulls in one week and my hands still ache

I never tracked how many drawer pulls I make in a week until last month when a client in Evanston wanted all their kitchen hardware replaced with custom brass pulls. I thought it would be a quick job, maybe 20 or 30 pulls tops. By Friday I had churned out 50 of them, each one needing drilling, sanding, and polishing by hand. My fingers were killing me and I couldn't grip my coffee mug without wincing. It really surprised me how much repetitive work that was for what seemed like a simple upgrade. Has anyone else hit a number like that on a seemingly small job and realized how much labor it actually takes?

Doesn't it feel like the smallest projects always sneak up on you with the most work? It's funny how we can spend hours on one "simple" task and walk away wondering where the day went.

Spent four hours organizing my sock drawer last week, still not sure what happened.
