Overheard a judge tell a lawyer to cut the jargon in San Jose

I was sitting in the hallway outside Dept 102 waiting for my own hearing and this judge basically ripped into this disability attorney for using too much medical speak in his filings. He said something like, "if I can't understand it, the jury won't either." Made me realize how much my own lawyer's paperwork might be hurting my case, since I've been fighting for 14 months now. Has anyone else had their attorney simplify their language after a judge pushed back?

Wait, he said that right in the hallway where anyone could hear? That's wild. I can't believe he just aired that out loud like that, but honestly, good for him. If a judge can't follow it, that's a huge red flag for your case.

Jargon hides the truth everywhere, not just courtrooms.
