My lawyer said my medical records were too messy and I needed to fix them
Last month my disability lawyer in Fresno told me straight up that my medical history was all over the place. She said I needed to organize everything by date and highlight any hospital stays over 3 days. I spent a whole Saturday going through 5 years of papers and it actually made my case look way stronger. Has anyone else had their lawyer tell them to redo their paperwork?

That thing about missing records really hits home... when I did my reorganization I found a whole batch of blood work from 2021 that was sitting in a separate folder from everything else. What kind of records almost got left out for you? Cause I think a lot of people don't realize how easy it is to lose track of stuff when you're switching between doctors or clinics. My lawyer told me a missing piece can mess up the whole timeline of your disability claim.

Honestly, I used to think it didn't matter that much if a few records were missing. But now I see how wrong I was after reading stuff like this. It's crazy how one random folder with blood work can mess up everything if it gets lost. The timeline part is what gets me, because a judge probably just sees a gap and assumes nothing happened during that time. Makes you realize you gotta be super careful about every single piece of paper.

Did you use like a binder or just folders? I had a similar situation with my SSD case and bought a 3 ring binder with tab dividers for each year. Color coded the hospital stays with yellow highlighter and used blue for doctor visits. It helped my lawyer pull out the important stuff fast, plus I realized I was missing records from one hospital visit that almost ruined my case.
