My cinnamon roll attempt turned into a charcoal hockey puck in 9 minutes
Went to my sister's place in Boise last weekend and she dared me to try her new convection oven. I set the dial to 350 like a fool, but that thing runs crazy hot, so my rolls went from golden to black in about 9 minutes flat. The smoke alarm went off and her cat bolted out of the room like I'd committed a crime. She just stood there laughing and said, 'congratulations, you found the cremation setting.' Honestly, the smell took 2 days to clear out of her kitchen. Has anyone else had a convection oven surprise, or is it just me and this dumb dial?
