That friend who told me to stop using washi tape for weekly layouts was totally right

My buddy Jen said I was overcomplicating my spreads with all those decorative strips, and after I spent 45 minutes last Friday fixing a crooked piece that smudged my ink, I finally took her advice and switched to simple markers instead - has anyone else had a similar wake-up call about a habit you thought was essential?

I read this article about how people spend an average of 30% more time decorating than actually using their planners. It really made me stop and think about what matters more, the look or the function. Sometimes we get so caught up in making things pretty that we forget what they're for in the first place.
