Spent 2 hours trying to find a simple weekly layout

I wanted to switch to a vertical weekly spread and thought it would take 10 minutes to set up. Ended up watching 15 different YouTube videos and still couldn't get the columns right. Has anyone else wasted a whole evening trying to copy a spread from Pinterest?

Tbh I used to think those YouTube tutorials were overkill and people just overcomplicated things. But I spent four hours last Tuesday trying to get a simple vertical weekly layout from a Pinterest screenshot and my columns ended up looking like a crooked fence. Honestly I was so frustrated I almost threw my notebook across the room. Now I actually get why people watch 20 videos before even touching a pen. It changed my whole view on those spread setups.

Oh man, my friend Sarah went through the exact same thing! She spent a whole Sunday fighting with a "minimalist" layout from Pinterest and her ruler slipped so bad it looked like a drunk spider drew the lines. She told me she finally caved and watched a 35 minute tutorial and now her spreads actually look like the pictures.
