I used to think a $5 notebook was fine for bullet journaling, then I tried a $20 Leuchtturm and the paper quality made my pens stop bleeding through completely.

Way less ghosting and my layouts actually look clean now, has anyone else noticed a huge difference with nicer paper?

Did you try different pens too or just the notebook change?

I read somewhere that some people swear by a specific brand of pen called Pilot G2. Said it changed their handwriting completely. But for me, it was the notebook. I tried a different kind of paper, something smoother, and it made a big difference. The pen just glides instead of dragging. So I think both matter, but the paper did more for me than any pen swap.
