I found a stat that totally changed how I track reading in my journal

Was looking up reading stats online and found out the average person only reads about 12 books a year. I had been tracking how many pages I read each month instead of books finished, and now I realize that number is way more useful for my bujo spreads. Anyone else ditch page counts for something simpler?

Yeah I made that switch last year. Page counts just got too messy especially with different book sizes and formats. Now I just track each book title and a quick star rating in my monthly spread. Takes way less space and I actually stick with it longer than two weeks.

Read an article last month that said most people lie about how much they read anyway. So 12 might even be generous. The same study showed like 40% of adults haven't cracked a book in the past year that wasn't for work or school. Which honestly tracks when you think about how much time people spend scrolling their phones. I barely manage 6 or 7 a year myself and I actually like reading.
