The hostel front desk guy in Lisbon changed my packing game
I was two days into a 10 day trip last spring and my backpack was a mess, everything wrinkled and stuffed. The guy working the front desk at my hostel in Lisbon saw me struggling and showed me how he rolls his clothes around a rolled up belt to keep them tight. He said it costs nothing and saves space, have any of you tried this trick or do you swear by packing cubes instead?
Ever tried the rolled shirt method instead, it works way better than folding but you still need a system or they get loose quick... I do the belt roll for jeans and heavy stuff, lighter shirts go in a compression sack, cheap and bulletproof.
