Overheard a couple at the hostel in Prague talking about 'slow travel'
I was in the kitchen making coffee and they were planning to stay in the city for a full month. They said renting a small apartment through a local site cost them about 400 euros total, which is way less than moving every few days. It made me think about how rushing through places actually costs more in transport and last-minute bookings. Has anyone else tried staying put in one spot for a few weeks to save money?

Totally agree with them. Rushing around burns cash and energy. Did a month in Lisbon last year and it changed how I travel. You find the cheap grocery store, the local bus pass, the free museum day. You stop paying tourist prices for everything. It feels less like a checklist and more like actually living somewhere.

That free museum day in Lisbon is a total game changer, isn't it? It really does start to feel like you have a local routine.
