Just realized budget airlines cost me more in the end
Flew Spirit to Miami last spring at $49 each way, but after bag fees, seat selection, and a water bottle it came to $180 round trip. Two months later I flew Delta for $200 with snacks and a carry-on included, no hidden charges. Has anyone else tracked the real cost of these so-called cheap flights versus a standard carrier?

This is just how everything works now, not just cheap stuff. People get hooked on the low price and then spend way more in the long run on extras, subscriptions, or replacements that break fast. Same thing with those budget phone plans that look great until you hit the data cap or need customer service. It's like businesses know we love a bargain and use that to trap us.
