Bulk buying vegetables led to a fridge full of cabbage

I got a great deal on cabbage at the farmer's market, but now I have way too much. I'm tired of making coleslaw and stir-fry. What are some other budget-friendly ways to use up cabbage?

Oh man, "bulk buying vegetables" is a trap I've seen before! My friend did the exact same thing with cabbage last fall. She got stressed until she started making huge pots of simple cabbage soup. She would just chop it up with some onions, carrots, a can of tomatoes, and broth, then let it simmer forever. It used up a ton of cabbage at once, froze really well, and was basically the cheapest meal ever. She lived off that soup for weeks and actually got sad when it was finally gone.

Right? This happens with way more than just veggies. You buy a huge pack of paper towels and suddenly you're finding reasons to use them everywhere. Or you feel stressed about tax papers until you finally sort them into folders. It's like we need that big scary pile of stuff to push us into finding a simple system that actually works. Makes you wonder what else we're overcomplicating, huh?

Last year, I bought a huge bundle of carrots from the farmer's market. I ended up giving most to my rabbit because I couldn't keep up. The system only works if you already have a plan in place.
