The $4 thrift store scale that outlasted my $60 kitchen one
I grabbed a vintage mechanical scale at a Goodwill in Portland for 4 bucks about 2 years ago, mostly as a joke. My digital one died after 14 months, but this old thing still lands within a gram of my neighbor's calibrated setup. It's slower and clunkier, but honestly, I've stopped craving the fancy tech. Anyone else found a beat-up tool that just won't quit on them?
