Vent: My workplace breaks are silent now.

Years ago, we'd joke around during coffee. Now, it's headphones on. Any way to change this?

I mean, I'm part of the problem at my job, honestly. I put my headphones on because it feels weird to start a chat and then have it die in two minutes. Maybe it's just me but the silence makes everyone more awkward, so we all hide in our phones. Trying to break it feels like trying to start a campfire with wet wood. I did bring in donuts last week though, which got a few people talking for about five minutes. Guess it's a start, idk.
