I finally saw what a quiet break can do for you

Took my coffee outside today because the break room was packed... just sat on the bench and didn't look at my phone. I started noticing little things, like how the sun felt warm and a squirrel was chasing another one. It reminded me of being a kid and my dad taking his breaks in the yard, just sitting there with his eyes closed. He said it helped him reset before going back to work. Now, I usually spend breaks answering messages or watching videos. But this time, my head felt clear and I wasn't as stressed going back inside. It's crazy how something so simple can make a difference... maybe I've been doing breaks wrong all along.

Yeah I used to think stuff like that was over the top too, just sitting there doing nothing. My breaks were always phone scroll time, trying to cram in more stuff. But trying it once totally flipped it for me. That clear head feeling they talked about is real, it’s not just doing nothing, it’s like a hard reset for your brain. I get why it sounds silly but it actually works.

That clear head feeling is real, reminds me of when I finally convinced @the_simon to just stare at a wall for five minutes after work.

Seems a bit over the top for just sitting outside.
