The fermented black garlic at the Asian market in Cleveland tasted like molasses and soy sauce, and I can't stop thinking about it
Picked up a $6 jar of fermented black garlic at Park To Shop in Cleveland last month just to see what the fuss was about. First clove I ate straight up and it was soft and sticky like a date, with this deep sweet tang that had nothing to do with regular garlic. Threw two cloves into mashed potatoes the next night and my roommate asked what restaurant I got them from. Now I'm hunting for more ways to use it besides toast, any ideas for soups or sauces that won't drown out that flavor?
