Just wasted $30 on a 'quick-dry' PVA glue that ruined a cover

It never fully set and left a permanent tacky film, so I had to scrap the whole project. Anyone know a reliable brand for case binding that actually dries clear and hard?

My buddy Nate lost a whole set of leather journals to that. He used some craft store glue that stayed gummy for months. Swears by Jade 403 now.

Man, that's the worst feeling. I've been burned by that same kind of permanent tacky film before, it's like the glue just gives up halfway through. For case binding, I've had solid results with Lineco Neutral pH Adhesive. It dries clear and actually gets hard, not that weird rubbery stage.

Ever try PVA glue instead?
