Unpopular opinion: I used to pick our book club books by myself, but a vote changed everything.

After a heated debate over my choice of 'Moby-Dick' last fall, we switched to a simple ranked-choice vote using a Google Form. Anyone else have a better system for choosing books without the arguments?

Oh man, Moby-Dick would have started a mutiny in my group too. Ranked choice is smart, it lets people pretend they have a say while secretly hoping their own pick wins. We tried letting everyone bring a bottle of wine and a book suggestion, but we just got drunk and argued about covers instead.

Ranked choice actually works great for our book club.

Nah, it makes the whole process feel fair.
