Weld prep gone wrong on a 4-inch pipe taught me to stop rushing
I used to just wire-wheel everything and call it good, but after a porosity blowout on a 4-inch line in Pittsburgh last spring, I now hit every joint with a grinder disc and acetone, and I'm curious who else still skips the acetone step.
