Showerthought: I tried using a 3/8-inch drive on a stubborn flange bolt in a tight spot yesterday and it snapped clean off.
I learned the hard way that sometimes you really do need to take the extra five minutes to get the 1/2-inch drive and a proper cheater bar, so what's your go-to method for stuck bolts in confined spaces?

My personal method involves a lot of swearing and then giving up to go find the right tool. I've got a collection of snapped sockets that could probably be welded into modern art. The real trick is admitting defeat before the bolt does, but my pride never gets the memo.

Pride is the ultimate socket killer. I've got a 3/8 drive that's just a twisted stump from a brake caliper bolt that laughed at my breaker bar. The moment you feel that sickening crunch, you know you've just donated another tool to the art project.
