Hot take: Explaining my forge to a confused mail carrier
My mail lady saw me quenching a blade and thought it was on fire. She stopped to ask if everything was okay, and we had a quick talk about how blacksmithing works. It was neat to see someone from outside the trade get curious. Have you ever had to explain your setup to someone who knows nothing about it? It kind of makes you appreciate the craft more.

Told my UPS guy about the forge when he delivered a coal shipment. His genuine curiosity turned a routine drop-off into a cool moment.
