Took me 3 months to figure out subtitles on this one show
Watched Dark on Netflix without subtitles for like 15 episodes. Kept getting lost. Finally turned them on and realized everyone was speaking German the whole time. Felt like an idiot. Anybody else miss obvious stuff like that?

Had a buddy who watched the whole first season of Squid Game thinking it was an English show.

My cousin did the exact same thing with "Money Heist" on Netflix. He got three episodes in before he realized they were speaking Spanish with the English dub on. The whole time he was complaining about the bad lip syncing and how the show felt weirdly dramatic compared to other heist movies. I had to pause it and ask him if he noticed the characters' mouths didn't match the words. He just sat there staring at the screen for a solid ten seconds before he got up and walked away. Still cracks me up every time I think about it.
