Bought a $50 streaming stick and it saved me from ad overload

I picked up a Roku Express on sale last month mostly out of curiosity. My smart TV interface was getting cluttered with ads for stuff I didn't care about. The stick cost me $40 after tax, and it's been a game changer for just watching shows without all the extra noise. The menu is simple, I can search across apps easy, and the picture looks fine for my old living room TV. Has anyone else found that a cheap add on device made their binge watching way smoother?

Laughing at myself because my TV is SO old it doesn't even have a Roku port, just a dusty antenna and a prayer. I'm pretty sure it was made before "smart" meant anything other than being able to turn on with the press of a button. But hey, the picture is fuzzy in a charmingly nostalgic way, so I've got that going for me.
