Force yourself to follow each step properly even when you want to rush. If you skip checking spoke tension or skip the trueing process, you will absolutely end up with a hop or a wobble. Rushing just means you have to do the whole job twice after it fails the first time. The time you think you save upfront gets spent fixing your mistakes later.

Consider how many people get the wheel looking true but still have hidden tension problems. That's because they rush the final stress relief and nipple tightening steps. The wheel might roll fine at first but it won't hold up for long.
