My neighbor's sprinkler system runs for 45 minutes every single morning.

I see it from my kitchen window at 6 AM. The ground is already soaked from overnight dew, and half the water just runs off into the street. I checked my local water district's guide, and they say 15 minutes is plenty for established turf this time of year. That's a huge waste, and the bill must be crazy. Does anyone else notice stuff like this in their own neighborhood?

Ever try just leaving a friendly note? I saw the same thing with my old neighbor and slipped a printout of the watering guidelines in their mailbox. They actually adjusted their timer the next week, guess they just didn't know. It's so frustrating to watch all that water just wash away.
