I bought a $400 planner system that promised to fix my life
It was a whole kit with color coded pens, special stickers, and a leather binder. The ads said it would turn me into a productivity machine. I spent about two months trying to make it work, setting it up every Sunday night. The truth is, it just added an extra hour of admin to my week. I was so busy tracking tasks that I had less time to actually do them. The fancy layout felt more like a chore than a help. I finally gave up and went back to a simple notepad. Has anyone else found these complex systems just get in the way?

Honestly, it's just a planner. The whole point is to write stuff down so you don't forget. Getting lost in the stickers and color codes kind of misses the point. A simple list that gets the job done is always better than a pretty one that doesn't.

What's the point of a planner that isn't fun to use?
