After weeks of email stress, I now check only morning and night. My team debates always-on vs focused blocks. Your take?
I was always glued to my inbox and it messed up my work flow. I read about batch processing and tried limiting checks to twice a day, which fixed my focus. Some argue you need to reply right away, but I think scheduled times work better. What do you do?

How do you deal with people who claim something is urgent? I made the same switch last year after my brain was fried from constant pings. Checking in focused blocks totally saved my ability to get real work done. The always-on crowd seems to just love creating fake emergencies. My focus has been way better since I stopped letting my inbox boss me around.

Totally get what you mean about fake emergencies. It's like how everyone acts like every text needs an instant reply now, even for making weekend plans. The whole culture's trained us to treat everything like it's on fire.
