The toilet paper roll orientation I had backwards for 27 years

So I'm sitting here in my bathroom after a long day and it finally hit me... I've been putting the toilet paper roll the wrong way this whole time. Over the roll, that's what I always did because it looked nicer. But last week my friend Sarah came over and pointed out that under the roll actually stops the paper from unraveling when you spin it too fast. I tested it out and she was right, the end just tucks away cleaner too. Now I feel like I've been living a lie for almost three decades... has anyone else had this sudden realization flip their whole bathroom routine?
