I finally stopped using the voice memo app for my rants
Had this habit about 8 months back where I'd walk into the bathroom at work and record a 2 minute voice memo complaining about my boss. Thought it was private. Then last Tuesday I was scrolling through my phone to find a recipe and accidentally hit play on one from March. The whole break room heard me call Kevin a 'human spreadsheet with a bad combover'. Nobody said anything but Kevin hasn't looked at me since. Now I just write it on a sticky note and flush it. Has anyone else had a private rant tech fail blow up on them?

My buddy Marcus had something similar happen but with a group text. He was complaining about his neighbor’s dog barking all night to his brother, and instead of sending it to his brother, he sent it to the neighbor’s wife who was in his contacts under the same first name. He typed out a whole paragraph about how the dog sounds like a dying smoke alarm, and she replied back with a thumbs up emoji. Now whenever he sees her at the mailboxes she gives him this weird tight smile and walks faster. He said he just mumbles “sorry about the dog thing” under his breath and hopes she hears it.
