Had to pick between a bidet attachment or a full toilet seat replacement
So my old toilet seat cracked last week and I figured since I was already shopping, maybe I should try one of those bidet attachments. Ended up going with the simple $35 attachment instead of the $150 fancy seat because I wasn't sure I'd like it. First day using it I sprayed water all over my shirt and had to change before work. Three days later I finally got the angle right and honestly it's pretty nice. Has anyone else here made the switch and had a rough start or was it just me messing it up?

The $35 attachment is honestly the smart way to start. You save money and figure out if you even like the whole bidet thing before committing to a fancier seat. Your shirt story made me laugh because I did almost the exact same thing my first morning. I aimed too high and wet my whole stomach. Took me maybe a week to get the pressure and angle sorted out. Now I actually miss it when I use a regular toilet somewhere else.

Did you have one of those cheap plastic knobs that just turns the water on full blast? Because that's what I started with and I learned real quick to crack it open like a millimeter at first. My wife walked in on me chasing the nozzle around the toilet bowl while water sprayed everywhere, she still brings it up at dinner parties. @the_susan is right about missing it when you travel though, I stayed at a hotel last month and spent the whole trip wishing I had my trusty attachment. And yeah, the pressure adjustment takes practice, I still get it wrong sometimes when I'm half asleep.
