The flea market in Tacoma had a whole table of $5 cast iron and people walked right past it
Went to the Point Defiance flea market last Saturday and this older guy had a folding table stacked with like 14 cast iron skillets, all marked $5 each. I grabbed a 10 inch Wagner from the 1940s that just needed a vinegar soak, and the guy next to me picked up a Griswold and put it back down because it looked rusty. I get that most folks want shiny new stuff, but a little rust on cast iron means nothing compared to paying $40 at a big box store. Anyway I ended up with three skillets for $15 total and they cook better than anything I have bought new. Does anyone else hit up the Tacoma flea market or is it just me?
