Rant: I stopped digging through the whole bin and started asking the guy at the register
Spent 20 minutes last Saturday at the flea market off Route 9 in Howell flipping through a bin of old tools, then just asked the vendor if he had any hand planes in back. He pulled out a Stanley No. 4 for $12 that he hadn't even put out yet. Now I always ask first, has anyone else tried this or is it just me?

Oh wow, I always felt weird asking like it was rude or something. Turns out the guys love it cause it means a sale. Gonna try this at the next one for sure.
